Terms of Service

Effective July 13, 2026 · Beta

These terms govern your use of the RecFlow Studio application and the recflow.studio website ("RecFlow"). By downloading or using RecFlow you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use RecFlow.

1. What RecFlow is

RecFlow Studio is a macOS application for recording, editing and exporting screen recordings. It is currently distributed as a free beta. Beta software changes quickly and may contain bugs; features may be added, changed or removed at any time.

2. Your recordings are yours

Everything you record with RecFlow belongs to you. Recordings are created and stored locally on your Mac (in ~/Movies/RecFlow) and are never uploaded to us. You are responsible for what you record — make sure you have the right to record the content and people on your screen and microphone, and comply with the laws that apply to you.

3. Accounts

Some features use an optional account (e-mail sign-in). The account exists to sync your license status and export count across your own machines. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Pricing

5. Acceptable use

Don't use RecFlow to violate the law, to record people without required consent, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to break, probe or overload our services. Don't redistribute the app as your own.

6. Warranty disclaimer

RecFlow is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Beta software can lose data — keep copies of recordings that matter.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RecFlow Studio and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for lost data, lost profits or business interruption, arising from your use of RecFlow. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, during the beta, is zero).

8. Termination

You can stop using RecFlow at any time — your local recordings remain on your Mac. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use RecFlow after a change means you accept the updated terms.
