Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
RecFlow Studio is built local-first. The short version: your recordings never leave your Mac, and we collect the minimum needed to run licensing.
What stays on your Mac
- Recordings, webcam takes and exports — stored in ~/Movies/RecFlow, never uploaded.
- Edit data — zooms, cursor paths, captions and settings live in sidecar files next to your recordings.
- App settings — stored locally by macOS.
What we process
- Account (optional): your e-mail address and a count of your exports, used to sync license status across your machines.
- Website: recflow.studio is hosted on Vercel, which produces standard server logs (IP address, user agent) needed to serve the site. We run no advertising trackers.
- E-mail: if you write to info@recflow.studio we keep the correspondence.
What we don't do
- We don't see, store or analyze your recordings.
- We don't sell or share personal data with advertisers.
- We don't run third-party analytics or ad trackers in the app.
macOS permissions
RecFlow asks macOS for Screen Recording (to capture), Microphone and Camera (only if you enable them), and optionally Accessibility (to follow your typing cursor while recording). These grants are enforced by macOS, used only while you record, and revocable any time in System Settings.
Data removal
Delete local data by deleting ~/Movies/RecFlow and the app. To delete your account and its synced data, e-mail info@recflow.studio from the account address.
