RecFlow won't open? Start here.
A macOS security warning and an app crash need different fixes. Match the message you see, then follow the appropriate steps below.

Why isn't RecFlow opening?
If a warning appears before RecFlow launches, Gatekeeper may be unable to verify that particular download. An unverified developer or missing notarization can trigger this. The warning alone does not establish that the app is safe. A crash after launch needs a different diagnosis.
Start with the latest download from recflow.studio. If you are unsure which build you have, contact RecFlow support before granting an exception.
Read the warning first
Only consider an exception for a trusted, unmodified download. If macOS reports malware, damage, or that the app will harm your computer, stop: do not override that warning. Contact support; a damaged download may need replacing.
How to find Open Anyway
For an unverified-app warning, and only if you choose to trust the download:
- Try opening RecFlow once. Dismiss the security alert.
- Open System Settings. Use the Apple menu in the top-left corner.
- Select Privacy & Security. Scroll to the Security section.
- Find the blocked-app message. Check it names RecFlow. Click Open Anyway; some macOS versions show Open first.
- Confirm your choice. Follow the confirmation dialog and authenticate if asked. macOS remembers the exception for that app.

Still stuck?
There is no Open Anyway button
Try launching RecFlow again, then return to Privacy & Security. Apple says the option is available for about an hour after the attempt. If this is a work or school Mac, your administrator may control the setting; ask IT instead of trying to bypass it.
RecFlow opens, then immediately quits
That is a launch failure, not necessarily Gatekeeper. Note whether you see an error, a crash report, or just a disappearing Dock icon. Send that detail and your RecFlow version to support so we can investigate the right failure.
The app opens, but recording does not work
You have moved past the launch problem. Use RecFlow's permission prompts to review the screen, microphone, or camera access needed for your recording. Tell support which capture mode fails and whether a preview appears.
What to send RecFlow support
Email info@recflow.studio with your macOS version, Mac model, RecFlow version, where you downloaded it, and the exact warning or a screenshot. Remove personal information from screenshots. Never send passwords or stream keys.

Where is Open Anyway on a Mac?
In System Settings, open Privacy & Security and find the Security section after attempting to launch the blocked app. Only approve a download you trust.
Does Open Anyway fix every RecFlow launch problem?
No. It addresses an app security block. Crashes, incompatible builds, and capture permission problems require their own diagnosis.
Are these real RecFlow screenshots?
These are real macOS Sequoia screenshots published by Apple Support. They use Apple's example app name and are labeled accordingly; they are not screenshots of RecFlow or AI-generated images.
Should I run a Terminal command to turn off Gatekeeper?
No. This guide does not require disabling Gatekeeper or removing quarantine attributes. If the app-specific option is unavailable, contact support or your Mac administrator.
