RecFlow / Resources

Let people hear the explanation.

Choose the audio you need before recording: your microphone, your Mac, or both.

Choose your sources

  • Microphone: your narration. Select the device you intend to use.
  • System audio: sound from the Mac, such as a product preview or presentation.
  • Both: a narrated walkthrough that also demonstrates sound.

Use headphones when recording both sources to reduce speaker sound being picked up again by the microphone.

Make a ten-second test

  1. Open RecFlow’s recording setup and enable the audio sources you need.
  2. Grant the macOS permissions requested for those sources. If capture remains unavailable, check System Settings → Privacy & Security and reopen RecFlow if prompted.
  3. Say a short sentence and play the sound you need to demonstrate.
  4. Stop, export, and listen. Confirm neither source is missing or overpowering the other.

If audio is missing

Confirm the selected microphone is connected and not muted. Check permissions, then make another short test. If the exported file is still silent, send a bug report with your macOS version and selected sources.

Only record audio you have permission to share.
